I was a coached athlete within the Loughborough University performance environment, racing on the track and winning a BUCS medal in the Team Pursuit. Training was structured, demanding, and performance-led, and I reached my best shape just as COVID hit.
My priorities then shifted into a corporate graduate scheme, spending the next five years working in executive management roles. Long hours and responsibility forced me to balance ambition at work with training, often leaning on running for efficiency. That period gave me a clear understanding of how difficult it is to train consistently when life isn’t built around sport.
Coaching began informally, helping people around me train with more structure and purpose. Supporting my girlfriend from struggling with cleats to top-20 finishes at National A events was the point where coaching became more than just personal interest.
I eventually left my corporate role to start this business, driven by a desire to help others integrate endurance sport into their lives. That experience shapes how I coach today: adaptable, grounded in real life, and focused on steady, sustainable progress. I work with athletes across a wide range of levels, from beginners to experienced racers, prioritising consistency over perfect weeks.
